Introduction to Pointed Pen Calligraphy at Creative Parties

This workshop is an introduction to pointed pen calligraphy. We will begin by reviewing common calligraphy terminology, supplies and resources. Then we will delve into learning some basic strokes that are used to make up letter forms. We will also practice individual letter formations for both the upper and lowercase alphabets while learning the rule and principles of Copperplate calligraphy. Finally, we will apply our new calligraphy skills by creating a fun craft!

No experience required and all supplies are provided by the instructor.

Introduction to Brush Pen Calligraphy at Creative Parties

Brush Pen Calligraphy is a casual and modern form of calligraphy that is great for on-the-go creativity! This workshop is designed for beginners and starts off by introducing you how to hold and use a brush pen. You will then learn basic strokes needed to create letterforms. We will practice writing both upper and lowercase letters and their connections to make words. Finally, we will create a handmade lettering project!
